I have this FDC of the Malaysia-China 600 years of relationship, I noted the date on the pictorial cancel is 7.7.2005, I read the date of issue on the enclosed leaflet within the FDC, the date says 21.7.2005. Which is the correct date, Can someone clarify ?

收藏中有一枚马中友谊 600 周年纪念首日封,发现到封上的日期与说明册子的日期有出入,戳的日期是 7.7.2005, 册子注明的是 21.7.2005,那一个对呢?

【A Chinese Style Malaysian Stamp Maximum Card :Chinese Seal】 【 浓浓中国风味的一枚马来西亚邮票极限片:印章】

【A Chinese Style Malaysian Stamp Maximum Card :Chinese Seal】
【 浓浓中国风味的一枚马来西亚邮票极限片:印章】

Pos Malaysia issued a set of stamp to commemorate " 600th Anniversary of the first sail of the Admiral Zheng He", one of the stamp depicts a typical RED Chinese Seal of the Ming Emperor. I was unable to find a postcard of the Ming Emperor's seal, however, I do pocess a set of postcards with all types of Chinese Seals . It was quite pleasant to have this particular Chinese Seal stamp affixed admist the series of Seals, as though the stamp is part of the post card. Can you spot the stamp on the card ? It is a 30 sen stamp, affixed at the bottom left corner of the card, duly cancelled with a First Day of Issue pictorial postmark @ Jalan Laksamana Post Office, where Admiral Zheng He first landed in Melaka.

Maximum Card keeps record of events - the mysterious missing statue of Zheng He

3 mini statues depicting Zheng He and his followers were missing from the altar of a popular temple  in Melaka many years ago, the status of these 3 mini statues remained unknown  until today. There existed a postcard of the 3 mini statues of which I was inclined to realise a typical Malaysian Maximum Card on Zheng He , however, Pos Malaysia had failed to issue a suitable stamp for me to materialise. The card was finally used with China and Hong Kong stamps to realise as maximum cards. These Zheng He maximum cards keep record of an event - the mysterious missing statue of Zheng He ... Has anyone come across these statues ? They are properties of a temple in Melaka . There was an appeal to reinstate these statues back into position on the empty altar of the temple.

Zheng He missed the boat on Malaysia Stamp for the 600th Anniversary of the 1st Voyage omnibus issue

 Unissued Zheng He Miniature Sheet
A Serious Design Error on the portrait of Zheng He

 Zheng He Miniature Sheet
I thought Pos Malaysia would issue a stamp to commemorate the 600th Anniversary of Zheng He's 1st Voyage along with the other Zheng He stamps issued by postal administrations e.g China, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore. Zheng He and his fleet set foot in Melaka and it was an important historial  event  in the history of Malaysia to remember. I had my postcards ready to create maximum cards on Zheng He, however, never materialised.  Instead Pos Malaysia issued a set of stamps to commemorate the diplomatic relationship between China-Malaysia in the following year. A miniature sheet was designed to depict Admiral Zheng He had been approved and printed ( image as above), it was withdrawn on the eve of the launch of the stamps, nothing had been SOLD over the post office counter. The miniature sheet with Zheng He's image was said to posses a major error - Can you spot the error ? The  new miniature sheet issued  has a different design with a Ming Dynasty merchant trader replacing the portrait  of Zheng He. I missed the opportunity to realise a Malaysia Zheng He maximum card which I had been longing for and I think I will never ever have the chance of realising one anymore.

Are you sure he is Zheng He on the card?

To commemorate the 600th anniversary of Zheng He's ( previously Cheng Ho) voyage to the world, several postal administrations issued stamps depicting the portrait of Zheng He. It was good opportunity to realise maximum cards for this omnibus stamp issue with the same postcard. I sent the Zheng He portrait postcards to friends in China, Macau, Hong Kong and Singapore for that purpose. Several replies came back with the same question : "Are you sure he is Zheng He on the card ?", I was stunned by the question and began to ponder who could verify on the accuracy of the portrait. Yes, no one had seen an actual image of Zheng Ho, was he fat, was he thin ? No one knows. I threw the question back to my friends abroad " Are you sure he is NOT Zheng He on the card? ", no reply !. Anyway, the inscription at the back of the postcard indicated it was Zheng He on the card . Who really knows he was the Real Zheng He  on the card? Anyway, I had these maximum cards realised in my collection and I had seen numerous Zheng He MCs showing different images of the portrait of Zheng He.
