Malaysia does NOT issue Chinese New Year Shengxiao stamps, however, during the past years, Pos Malaysia Bhd would try to issue an animal series resembling to the CNY animal zodiacs to usher the new year. 12 years ago during the year of the goat in 2003, A set of Goat Stamps was issued prior to the Chinese New Year, that was regarded as a Shengxiao Series although NOT officially mentioned. I realised the stamps as maximum cards, and share here an MC to wish ALL a Prosperous Year of the Goat to come.

马来西亚邮政不曾发行生肖邮票，虽然如此，邮政时而也会应景，在农历新年之前发行一些有关该年相关的生肖动物邮票，增添农历新年气氛。12年前的羊年，大马邮政一贯发行了一套以羊主题的邮票。我也以邮票制作了无数的羊年极限片。就在此贴一枚大马羊年极限片给大家拜个早年。

Shengxiao (生肖）Postcards ，Shengxiao (生肖）Maximum Cards

Shengxiao 生肖- the symbolic zodiac animal for the lunar new year is one of the most popular stamp series issued worldwide. Few of the Asian countries e.g China, Taiwan and Japan issue postcards for the Shengxiao of each year. These postcards are suitable for use as Lunar New Year greeting cards, and lately, they have become very popular for the creation of maximum cards as the themes are concordant with the Shengxiao stamps issued worldwide. The above is a Shengxiao Tiger Maximum card created with a Singapore Stamp with a Japanese Post Card.

I used this postcard several times for MCs of the Year of the Tiger of different countries

Postcards can be used over and over again to realise MCs for the same subject stamps issued by different postal administrations , this is especially true for the annual Chinese Sheng Xiao (Zodiac) stamps. I have used the same postcard to realise the Year of the Tiger for Malaysia, Singapore, Hongkong, Macau, Taiwan, China and lastly Thailand.
